RCES's New Recycling Trailer Brings Awareness

The design of the trailer helps students see the amount of plastic bottles recycled at the school each month.

Rocky Creek Elementary’s green footprint is more visible than ever, thanks to a new recycling trailer.

This past fall, Rocky Creek Elementary Fourth-Grade Teacher Heather Coker helped her school win a $1,500 grant from the Kroger Earning Plus Learning Incentive Program to support recycling in her school.

Coker used part of her $1,500 to acquire a recycling trailer, built by local welder Clint Wells, for the school.
