Report: Two Dead in Murder-Suicide
Incident took place Monday morning at a restaurant in Batesburg-Leesville.

A man and woman are dead after an apparent murder-suicide that took place Monday morning in a Batesburg-Leesville restaurant.
According to this report by WIS, "Batesburg-Leesville Police believe an employee of China 1, which is located at 245 W. Columbia Ave., was shot and killed by her boyfriend just hours after she filed a police report complaining of domestic violence in the relationship."
The boyfriend then turned the gun on himself. The report said the restaurant had customers at the time of the shooting, but no others were reported hurt.
Lexington County Coroner Harry Harman has identified the victims as Shaquanah Jones-Brannon, age 30, of Leesville, and Jamael R. Goodman, age 27, also of Leesville.
Police said they had advised Jones-Brannon not to go to work today, to no avail.

"We were trying to locate him and were trying to find out what's going on with her complaint," Police Chief Wallace Oswald told the station. "Obviously, it was not quick enough."
Oswald said police were looking for Goodman, but that he changed his appearance and the car he was driving before heading to the restaurant, the report added.
