Report: Wreck Victim Was Church's New Pastor
Tony Lamar Hill of Columbia was on his way to his new church when he and his mother were killed on Interstate 20 in Lexington County.

was on his way to the church where he had just recently been named pastor, according to this report by WIS-TV.
Tony Lamar Hill, 25, and his mother, Tanya H. Dash, 42, both of Columbia, were traveling to Darian Baptist Church in Columbia in a Ford Explorer westbound on I-20 at mile marker 58 (U.S. Highway 1 exit) when the driver lost control of the vehicle.
The SUV left the roadway, striking the median cable barrier, and overturned, ejecting the victims and killing them both, according to the Lexington County Coroner's Office.
Dash was the church's childrens' choir director.

The victims were not wearing seatbelts and were pronounced dead at the scene from head and body trauma.
Two other unidentified occupants in the vehicle were transported to Palmetto Health Richland with non-life threatening injuries, the coroner's office said.
