Suspect Identified in Walgreen’s Armed Robbery

The Lexington Police Department is seeking the public’s help in locating one of the individuals responsible for the armed robbery of the Walgreens located at 423 West Main Street on July 3.

Warrants have been issued for James Anthony Loewen, 38, a white male described as 5 feet, 8 inches tall, weighing 195 lbs., with brown hair and blue eyes. 

Loewen is wanted by Lexington Police on one count of armed robbery and one count of criminal conspiracy for his role in the .

"James Loewen has an extensive criminal history and should be considered armed and dangerous. The investigation is still ongoing and further details of this and multiple other pharmacy robberies across the southeast should be forthcoming," Lexington Police Chief Terrence Green said.
