Swansea Man Killed in Collision

Authorities are reporting that a Swansea man died Tuesday afternoon when his moped struck a van in Cayce.

According to Lexington County Coroner Harry Harman, Michael Delles, 42, of Swansea was driving north on the 12th Street extension at around 2:15 p.m. in Cayce when his moped ran into a 2001 Dodge Caravan at the Interstate 77 on-ramp.

Delles was pronounced dead at the scene. The accident is being investigated by the coroner's office and the S.C. Highway Patrol.
