Thieves Strike Gilbert Pharmacy
LCSD seeking help identifying two men who broke into Morgan's Pharmacy on Tuesday and stole prescription drugs
Lexington County Sheriff’s detectives are seeking help from the public in identifying two men who broke into a Gilbert pharmacy early Tuesday and stole about $3,500 worth of prescription drugs, including prescription painkillers.
The break-in occurred at Morgan’s Pharmacy, 309 Broad St., Gilbert, at about 1:25 a.m. Tuesday, according to a Sheriff's Department release.
Lexington County Sheriff James Metts said the two men each were wearing black, hooded sweatshirts. One of the men also was wearing a blue shirt and black visor.
Metts on Wednesday released two blurry surveillance camera photographs of one of the two men who committed the burglary (see photos at right). The man is seen in the photographs kneeling by a counter at the foot of a metal bookcase inside the pharmacy.
Metts asked anyone with information about the two men who committed the burglary or the burglary itself to call the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department at (803) 785-8230 or CrimeStoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC.
