Lexington County Sheriff's deputies arrested two men for burglary on Friday, but not without some help from an armed homeowner.
Lexington County Sheriff James Metts said deputies arrested Slyvester Rontrell Stephens, Jr., 19, of Batesburg, and Jaleel Traytwon Miller, 18, of Pelion in connection with a burglary in the 3000 block of Pond Branch Road, Leesville.
According to Metts, residents arrived at the home at approximately 3:45 p.m. to discover the burglary in progress.

Stephens and Miller began to flee the scene once confronted by the residents. The residents then chased the two suspects who fled in different directions, Metts said.
Miller attempted to hide at a nearby home on Tweetie Lane. However, the owner of the home on Tweetie Lane saw Miller attempting to hide in his yard and decided to take action. According to Metts, the homeowner confronted Miller with a handgun and held him until deputies arrived to arrest him.
