Warning: New Traffic Crackdown Underway

The following Lexington County roadways will see increased patrols by deputies and state troopers throughout the next week, beginning today.

The Lexington County Sheriff's Department has announced the latest roadways where it will conduct enhanced traffic patrols, which begin today and will run through next Wednesday, Feb. 8.

Deputies, along with S.C. Highway Patrol troopers, will be cracking down on speeders, as well as reckless and drunken drivers.

The targeted roadways this week include:

  • Jarvis Klapman Blvd.
  • Hook Avenue
  • Maple Road
  • Fernandina Road
  • Wescott Road
  • Glenn Road
  • Felix Drive
  • Busbee Road
  • Blackville Road
  • Sharon Church Road

Be warned: While these are the announced roadways for the following week, Lexington County Sheriff James Metts said they are subject to change without notice.
