Weeklong Traffic Crackdown Planned

The following Lexington roadways will see increased patrols by deputies and state troopers.

The Lexington County Sheriff's Department has announced the latest roadways where it will conduct stepped up traffic patrols, which will begin Thursday morning and run through next Wednesday, March 21.

Deputies, along with S.C. Highway Patrol troopers, will be cracking down on speeders, as well as reckless and drunken drivers. 

The targeted roadways include:

  • Brookshire Drive
  • Nottingham Road
  • John N. Hardee Expressway
  • Lake Murray Blvd.
  • Weed Drive
  • Barr Road
  • Coldstream Drive
  • Cherry Blossom Road
  • Pelion Road
  • South Lake Drive
