Weeklong Traffic Crackdown Underway

The Lexington County Sheriff's Department has announced the latest roadways where it will conduct stepped up traffic patrols, which began Thursday morning and will run through Wednesday, Jan. 4.

Deputies, along with S.C. Highway Patrol troopers, will be cracking down on speeders, as well as reckless and drunken drivers. These patrols are in addition to the stepped up traffic locally and statewide over the New Year's weekend.

The targeted roadways include:

• Pine Lake Drive
• Hebron Drive
• Jessamine Road
• St. David's Church Road
• Old Barnwell Road
• Pond Branch Road
• Two Notch Road
• Reedy O. Smith Road
• Hass Lucas Road
• Blackville Road
