Weeklong Traffic Crackdown Underway

The following Lexington roadways will see increased patrols by deputies and state troopers

The Lexington County Sheriff's Department has announced the latest roadways where it will conduct stepped up traffic patrols, which began Thursday morning and will run through Wednesday, Jan. 25.

Deputies, along with S.C. Highway Patrol troopers, will be cracking down on speeders, as well as reckless and drunken drivers. These patrols are in addition to the stepped up traffic locally and statewide over the New Year's weekend.

The targeted roadways include:

  • Casa Del Road
  • Woodtrail Drive
  • Fish Hatchery Road
  • Longs Pond Road
  • Smith Pond Road
  • Sunset Boulevard
  • Holland Street
  • Leaphart Road
  • Ermine Road
  • Irmo Drive
