West Columbia Police Seek Suspect

Department seeks assistance identifying a man using a stolen credit card.

The West Columbia Police Department is seeking the public's assistance in identifying a man who recently stole a victim’s wallet and used her credit card.  

Chief Dennis Tyndall said that on March 25, the suspect allegedly entered an unsecured vehicle in the 1400 block of C Avenue and allegedly stole a wallet. The victim’s credit card has been used by the suspect at multiple locations in West Columbia. He was captured on video at the Walmart located at 2401 Augusta Road where he allegedly used the stolen credit card to purchase a 37-inch television.  

The suspect is a white male between 30-40 years of age, approximately 5 feet 9 inches to 6 feet 1 inch, weighing approximately 120 pounds. He has black hair and was wearing a red t-shirt, black jeans, and black and white sneakers. (See surveillance images at right).

Anyone with information on the suspect or the crime is asked to call 888-CRIME-SC or go to Crimestoppers to receive a cash reward for information leading to the conviction of the suspect.
