West Columbia Woman Killed

Victim, on moped, was struck by hit-and-run driver

The Lexington County Coroner’s Office and the South Carolina Highway Patrol are investigating a hit-and-run accident that happened over the weekend.

According to Coroner Harry O. Harman, Miranda Jeanette Senn, 31, of West Columbia, was driving a moped eastbound on Interstate 26 near exit 107 around 3:56 a.m. Saturday when she was struck by an unknown vehicle that then fled the scene.

Senn was pronounced dead at the scene from the injuries she received in the accident. An autopsy has been scheduled to determine the cause of death.

The accident remains under investigation by the Lexington County Coroner’s Office and the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
