Police turn to public after all efforts fail to identify person found dead in Myrtle Beach (shorenewsnetwork.com) — Myrtle Beach police are asking for the public's help to identify a person found dead within city limits who had no ID, phone, or distinguishing tattoos. After database searches failed, investigators released a forensic illustration and are urging anyone who might recognize the individual to contact MCpl. Christopher Voegele with even small pieces of information.

State website shows child care facility records to public (wmbfnews.com) — If you're dropping your child at a Myrtle Beach daycare, a state-run SC Child Care website now lets you easily check any licensed facility's inspection history, licensing status, and safety issues. Parents can search by ZIP code or name, see unannounced inspection reports, and review whether problems were fixed, helping families compare centers and feel more confident about daily drop‑offs.
   

3. Myrtle Beach launches programs to boost small businesses (wmbfnews.com) — Myrtle Beach has launched two new incentive programs to help small businesses with startup and renovation costs, especially in the downtown Arts and Innovation District and along Broadway Street. One reimburses city fees for filling vacant storefronts, while another offers matching grants for facade improvements citywide, both aimed at boosting local entrepreneurship and foot traffic.
