OneSpartanburg Inc. announces 47th Leadership Spartanburg class (upstatebusinessjournal.com) — OneSpartanburg Inc. has named the 47th Leadership Spartanburg class, bringing together local professionals from Spartanburg County government, schools, nonprofits, and businesses for a nine‑month leadership program. Participants will explore Spartanburg County's strengths and challenges while building skills and connections that can shape future community projects, services, and civic leadership across the area.
   

2. LIVE: Police, coroner responding to neighborhood in Spartanburg (foxcarolina.com) — Police and the Spartanburg County Coroner's Office are currently responding to a situation on Rev. Booker T. Sears Street in Spartanburg, with crews on scene as of 4 p.m. Wednesday. Details about why authorities were called have not yet been released, and FOX Carolina says it is working to learn more about what's happening in the neighborhood.
   

3. Maylene And The Sons Of Disaster Announce December Tour Dates (themosh.net) — Rock and metal fans in Spartanburg can catch Maylene And The Sons Of Disaster live at Ground Zero on December 19, with Vanna and Dan Spencer also on the bill. The stop is part of a four-date December run that includes Knoxville, Carrboro's Holiday Hootenanny, and Atlanta, bringing a concentrated burst of heavy music to the region.

Tomato Variety Demos in Upstate SC (clemson.edu) — Tomato trials in Spartanburg County and Greenville County are showing promise for new heat‑tolerant varieties after early plantings in York County failed in extreme heat. Local growers are testing large and plum tomatoes for yield, flavor, and resilience, with more harvests and evaluations planned into early fall that could influence what Upstate farms, markets, and gardeners plant next.
