BJA Forensics Team Wins Second Place Sweepstakes Trophy

The Bob Jones Academy Forensics Team competed against public and private schools from North and South Carolina at Irmo High School in the Columbia, S.C. area Oct. 26.  The BJA team won 19 trophies as well as the Second Place Sweepstakes Trophy.  The following BJA students placed in the tournament:

Novice Reading 1st place – Jennie Hudson of Greenville

Novice Lincoln-Douglas Debate - 1st place – Jonathan Savoy of Greer

Duo Interpretation 2nd place – Will Christmas of Easley and Davis Fleisher of Taylors

Declamation 2nd place – Lauren Jacquette of Taylors

Varsity Public Forum Debate 3rd place – Micah Samuels of Piedmont and Brook Schmidt of Greenville

Impromptu Speaking 3rd place – Jacquelynne Perry of Greenville

Original Oratory 3rd place – Julianne Doney of Greenville
