BJA Places Fourth in Forensics Tournament

The Bob Jones Academy Forensic Team competed and placed fourth in the 26th Annual Morristown West Chestnut Tree Invitational held at Morristown West High School in Morristown, Tenn. Nov. 2.

Fifteen public and private schools from South Carolina and Tennessee participated in the tournament. The following students from BJA won awards:

Public Forum Debate – First Place: Elliott Kelley of Easley and Richard Petersen of Greenville

Public Forum Debate – Third Place: Micah Samuels of Piedmont and Marina Shew of Greenville

Extemporaneous Speaking – Fourth Place: Andrew Clater of Easley

Impromptu Speaking – Fourth Place: Caleb Miller of Greenville

Original Oratory – Fourth Place: Caleb Miller of Greenville

Prose – Fourth Place: Haley Brammer of Greenville

Extemporaneous Speaking – Fifth Place: Matthew Myers of Greenville

Impromptu Speaking – Fifth Place: Andrew Clater of Easley
