College Grad Cooking
A recent college grad shares her recipe for a tasty tailgating treat!
Frito Pie
Being a recent college graduate, I only have a few recipes that I can make with confidence. My meal supply during my college career consisted of microwavable meals and macaroni and cheese. I was lucky enough to have my older sister live across the street from me, so when I had time away from tests and papers, I would get to occasionally enjoy a nice home cooked meal. After four years of studying psychology, I could quote you for you many theorists such as Freud, Durkheim, and Piaget - but I think it is now time for me to learn how to boil water. Hopefully, as I continue to blog, you'll see me progress as a cook!
My first recipe that I am going to share is called Frito Pie. I first heard of this recipe when I visited Fort Worth, Texas for a mission trip in 2002. I have kept it with me throughout the years, and it has become a tail gate favorite for Clemson football games.

1 lb. ground beef
1 package of taco seasoning
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1 bag of "Scoops Frito" chips
Mix together the ground beef and package of taco seasoning together, as if you were making tacos. Place "Scoops Frito" chips in a large chip bowl, then pour ground beef on top of the chips. Finally, sprinkle the shredded cheese on top of the ground beef. And enjoy!
This is a great way to enjoy the taste of tacos but in a less messy way for tailgating.
