Time for Communities to Come Together Even More

This is my first attempt at a Blog post, but it feels also like the right time. We are blessed in this country to gather together as communities and celebrate accomplishments, honor heros, laugh, and to just have fun. In light of recent events in Boston, I think the time is now more than ever to do just that and celebrate our freedom and our communities.

I ask you to join the Greater Greer Community on May 3rd and 4th at the 29th Annual Village Hospital Greer Family Fest in downtown Greer. You can see the list of activities at www.greerfamilyfest.com including a free concert by The Marshall Tucker Band, but I wanted to just focus on the concept of celebrating our great community and the people involved in it.

This Family Festival will provide laughs, smiles, parent-child bonding, and fun for everyone in our community and will celebrate the 29th year of this great festival. We will take time on Saturday evening to honor our veterans with a Walk of Honor and thank them for the freedoms we enjoy and are so fortunate to have.

Families are the heartbeat of America, and Family Fest is focused on providing a family environment for all to enjoy together. Whether you take your kids, your parents, your friends, your spouse, your other family,or really anyone, join the other 20,000 people that come out to celebrate this wonderful community we are so blessed to enjoy and call home.
