Celebrating Black History Month with the Legacy of Good Eating

During Black History Month, BI-LO proudly celebrates the diversity of its customers and the many flavors of the African-American heritage by hosting a Legacy of Good Eating at select stores. As part of the celebrations, shoppers will enjoy an afternoon of family, food and heritage and will be treated to a live cooking demonstration featuring Chef Rosecleer Marie Powell, who will prepare seafood and sausage jambalaya. In addition to the delicious food tastings, event attendees can pick up new recipes such as pan seared pork chops, jerk chicken, Hoppin’ John and shrimp, avocado and mango salsa to add to their cook books, as well as enjoy a live radio remote, children’s activities and more.
