A 10-member delegation visited Greer Monday. Members of the delegation are from Dalian, China, one of the cities that hosted Mayor Rick Danner last fall when he visited Asia. Steve Owens, communications director, said it's customary for the Chinese to develop strong relationships before pursuing a business relationship. Owens said the group, which included representatives from various businesses, learned much about economic development opportunities in the City of Greer and the Upstate. The delegates will visit the CU-ICAR campus Wednesday.
