My name is Marina Peterson and we (my husband and I) am new to Greer (about 6 1/2 weeks) having moved here from Bristol RI (after much research!). I was a blogger on the Bristol-Warren Patch back home and am looking forward to continuing here in Greer. I hope to share my thoughts with you and encourage some lively discussions, political and otherwise.
First, a tip! Last week we had a thuder and hail storm here and we lost our power for a few hours. One thing I learned back in "snow and hurricane country" was that you can take those handy little solar lights that you have outside lining your garden or driveway, bring them inside.. and presto.. you have great safe lighting for inside. It is absolutely amazing how much light they produce! If the power outage lasts more than a day, you simply put them outside in the morning so that they can recharge. Much safer than candles!
My husband and I absolutely LOVE Greer and will be sharing some of the reasons who in subsequent posts. Be vigilant and don't lose what you have!
