Obituary: John C. Edwards of Taylors

John Conway Edwards, 93, widower of Helen Dill Edwards, died March 6, 2013 at his home.

A native of Greenville County, son of the late John Thomas and Virginia Harbin Edwards, he was a retired farmer, a U.S. Army WWII Veteran and attended Double Springs Baptist Church.

Mr. Edwards was the last surviving member of his family.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday at Wood Mortuary conducted by Rev. Thomas Riddle. Burial will follow in Double Springs Baptist Church cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Arnold Stokes, Michael Hall, Waymond Brookshire and Bob Taylors.

Visitation will be held 1:00-2:00 p.m. Friday at Wood Mortuary.
