• $1 million bond set for man charged with DUI in Columbia, SC police say (thestate.com) — A man is jailed on a $1 million bond after a reported DUI crash on the Gervais Street bridge connecting downtown Columbia and West Columbia, where a pedestrian was hit and thrown toward the Congaree River bank. Police are still investigating, haven’t released the victim’s condition, and are asking anyone with information to contact them.
   

• West Columbia man shot, killed on May 23; Lexington man dies next day after shooting himself in related incident, coroner says (lexingtonchronicle.com) — A 21-year-old West Columbia resident, Zaquan Payden Glover, was shot and killed in a Cayce home on May 23, according to the Lexington County Coroner. A suspect from Lexington later died from a self-inflicted gunshot after a vehicle pursuit near the State Farmers Market, and multiple agencies are continuing to investigate.
