• Dacotah Prairie Museum in Aberdeen adding bison to Buntrock Gallery (aberdeennews.com) — Aberdeen residents can help name the Dacotah Prairie Museum's new full-size bison, which will be unveiled during a special welcome event on Oct. 10. Voting on the final 12 name choices runs through Oct. 5 on the museum's website, and the winning name will be announced at noon during the celebration downtown.
   

• New Airport Baggage Screening Machine will make security easier and faster (hubcityradio.com) — If you fly out of Aberdeen Regional Airport, a new TSA baggage screening system is now in place to speed security and handle larger bags without hand searches. Installed over the summer and celebrated with a Chamber ribbon cutting, the upgrade creates more terminal space and aims to make travel smoother for local passengers.
