• South Dakota begins to issue drought warnings, orders (keloland.com) — Keystone-area residents should know that Battle Creek, which runs near town, is experiencing low flows that have triggered state warning letters to some water users. State officials have already ordered shutoffs on other rivers, activated the drought task force, and are monitoring Black Hills reservoirs as two-thirds of South Dakota faces dry to extreme drought conditions.
