• Notice of Updated Forest Resource Management Plan Mohawk State Forest (ct.gov) — State officials are finalizing a 15-year management plan for Mohawk State Forest, which includes land in Litchfield, and they’re asking for your feedback within 30 days of June 18. The plan covers climate adaptation, sustainable timber harvesting, road improvements, and wildlife habitat protection, including invasive species control. Residents can request the full plan and submit comments by email, and a virtual info session may follow if interest is high.
