Nashville Police Seek 2 In Antioch Shooting, Crash
Nashville police are searching for two men who ran from a wreck connected to an Antioch shooting.
ANTIOCH, TN — Two men ran from a shooting victim's vehicle after it crashed Saturday and police are now searching for the pair.
A Chevrolet Avalanche sideswiped one car and then careened into the parking lot of Quarters Inn and Suites on Bell Road around 11 a.m. Saturday, hitting five more vehicles. First responders found Demareus Merriweather, 26, unresponsive in the driver's seat. Merriweather was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where doctors discovered he'd been shot in the torso. Merriweather later died at the hospital.

Detectives found two handguns inside the Avalanche, one of which was reported stolen from Rutherford County. Surveillance video from the hotel showed two men get out of the Avalanche once it had come to a stop and run towards Cane Ridge Road.
