Police: South Nashville Bank Robber Arrested After Second Stick-Up

A man wanted in a December 30 stick-up of a Fifth Third branch was apprehended after a robbery of a US Bank Friday.

NASHVILLE, TN — A man believed to have robbed two south Nashville banks was arrested Friday evening.

Metro Police say Frederick Turner Jr., 29, was arrested 30 minutes after an armed robbery at the US Bank on Fesslers Lane. Investigators say Turner entered the branch around its 5:30 p.m. closing time wearing a latex mask as a disguise, pulled a gun and demanded money. After tellers complied, Turner fled but was arrested at a nearby shopping center.

Police say Turner is also behind a December 30 robbery of the Fifth Third Bank branch on Nolensville Road December 30. The modus operandi in both cases were similar: a man in a latex mask came in to the branch just as it was closing on a Friday.
