Brentwood Joins List of Communities With Trash Pickup Delays

BRENTWOOD, TN — A trash pick-up company already facing delay complaints in La Vergne, Smyrna and throughout Davidson County is alerting customers in Brentwood they too may experience tardy disposal.

A spokesman for Red River Waste Solutions told WKRN that the company recently purchased a company providing service to Brentwood and says drivers unfamiliar with routes may cause a back-up in pick-up times. In addition, some routes have changed from backyard to curbside pick-up locations. Some customers may not have been informed of the change, leading to unretrieved waste.

Steve Smith of Red River told the station one route scheduled for a Friday pick-up should be served Saturday and that the company is adding and training new employees.

Because of stretched staff and weather problems, thousands of Nashvillians served by Red River were left without pick-up earlier this month, as were others in Rutherford County.
