Two Teens Arrested for Nolensville Murder
An 18-year-old and a 19-year-old were arrested Wednesday in the New Year's Day murder of a Nolensville man.

NOLENSVILLE, TN — Two teenagers have been arrested in connection with the New Year's Day murder of a 43-year-old man in Nolensville.
At the request of District Attorney General Kim Helper, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation took the lead in the investigation of the January 1 murder of Robert Ward, 43, inside his home on Sam Donald Road. Wednesday, Miles Holt, 18, of Franklin and Jonathan Elliot, 19, of Antioch were arrested and charged with one count each of criminal homicide. They are being held at the Williamson County Jail. Bond was set at $750,000 for Holt and $850,000 for Elliott.
Police were called to the Ward home late on New Year's Day and found his body in the living room.

His family told WKRN someone knocked on the door of the home around 10 p.m..
“He grabbed a shotgun and went and seen what it was and I guess by the time he walked in the living room, and whoever it was, just started firing at the windows and shot up the house and my dad didn’t survive,” son Jordan Ward told the news station shortly after the murder.

According to the family, Ward's 11-year-old son hid under a bed when the shooting began and called 911 after finding his dad's body. He was unharmed.
