- On Saturday, a group of all ages, races, and genders gathered in downtown Chattanooga for a common purpose: to fight for abortion rights. People at the rally marched to Chattanooga City Hall, making their voices heard throughout the community. A draft opinion to overturn Roe V. Wade leaked earlier this month, and if finalized, would leave the option to outlaw abortion up to each individual state. (WTVC)
- Auditions for the world premiere of Giant Steps: An Urbean Musical will be on Sunday and Tuesday at the Chattanooga Theatre Centre. With music and lyrics by Chattanoogan Michael Dexter, Giant Steps is a contemporary twist on the classic fairytale Jack and the Beanstalk. You can sign up in advance to audition to get details in advance, or just show up on Sunday or Tuesday at 7 p.m. (The Chattanoogan)
- Two new East Ridge city parks are nearing completion. The dog park behind City Hall is open for use although the agility equipment will not be delivered until June. The splash pad at Pioneer Frontier Park is still on track to open around Memorial Day, according to the city manager. (The Chattanoogan)
