Here are the top three stories in Chattanooga today:

  1. Hamilton County non-profit organizations are being invited to apply for a grant through the Tennessee Arts Commission's Arts Build Communities program. Grants will be awarded up to $3,500 for projects that broaden access to arts experiences for the community while addressing quality of life issues. Applications must be sent in by Jul. 1.   2. There are a number of road closures, construction projects, and detours occurring throughout the Chattanooga area in April. Most notably, E 8th Street at Georgia Avenue will be closed to through traffic throughout the month for crane work.   3. Are you wondering why new car prices in Chattanooga have been skyrocketing? The price hike is being attributed to the ongoing microchip shortage caused by continuing supply chain issues. The average new car price in the area has risen by roughly $4,450 above MSRP. (WDEF News 12)
