Here are the top three stories in Chattanooga today:
- The Chattanooga Technology Council has announced its 2022 Technology Excellence Awards finalists. The winners will be announced today at The Signal. 2022 is the first year the winners will be announced in person. Click to view the complete list of finalists by category. (Chattanooga Pulse)
- The City of Chattanooga will be issuing $80 million in bonds for the new Lookouts stadium. City officials assure residents that even if costs increase or additional expenses arise, the city will not issue additional bonds. The new minor league baseball stadium will be built in the South Broad District at an old foundry property. (Chattanooga Times Free Press)
- The Chattanooga City Council has approved staff to apply for U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development funds. The approval will allow the staff to apply for more than $2.6 million in funds to support vulnerable individuals struggling with homelessness. The funds would be used to house the individuals in need of long-term medical rehabilitation. (Chattanooga Times Free Press)
