🌱 Chattanooga March For Life + TN Rapper Hosts HOPE Food Drive

The quickest way to get caught up on the most important things happening today in Chattanooga.

Welcome back, Chattanooga! Let's get you started this Monday with everything you need to know going on in town today.

First, today's weather:

Some sun, then turning cloudy. High: 55 Low: 34.

Here are the top 3 stories today in Chattanooga:

  1. March for Life came to Chattanooga on the 48th anniversary of Roe v. Wade. Hundreds gathered at Coolidge Park to rally against legalized abortion and "empower women to choose life." One Chattanoogan, Kacy Laine, who is part of the Moms for Social Justice group, said abortion needs to stay legal for the number of women who can't afford to have a family due to the high financial responsibilities. (WDEF)
  2. A Chattanooga rapper hosted a food drive in honor of his late mother. Jamaal Hicks held a "HOPE" food drive, which stands for "Helping Other People Eat." On Saturday, a dozen volunteers helped hand out food to the less fortunate, and others dropped off non-perishable foods that were taken to Habitat for Humanity. (WTVC)
  3. Two restaurant fires in less than 24 hours broke out in Hamilton County this weekend. The first happened at Cheddars Scratch Kitchen in Chattanooga and the other at LongHorn Steakhouse in East Brainerd. According to Hamilton County firefighters, the sprinkler system kept the fire from spreading at Cheddars, and they believe oily rags contributed to the blaze. (WTVC)
