Here are the top stories in Chattanooga today:

  1. A 43-year-old man faces charges in Chattanooga for allegedly raping a child. Hamilton County deputies arrested Rodrigo Javier Zuniga on Thursday. A child witness described the event in detail, and Zuniga is now in custody at the Silverdale Detention Center. (WTVC)
  2. The Janet Hinds trial is set to begin in Chattanooga on Monday. The trial has been delayed multiple times due to COVID-19. Hinds faces 10 charges including vehicular homicide by intoxication and leaving the scene in connection with the February 2019 death of Chattanooga Police Officer Nicholas Galinger. (WTVC)
  3. Cleveland, Etowah, Dayton and Chattanooga land historical project grants, which will provide $4 million to projects that renovate and preserve historic buildings. (WDEF News 12)
