Here are the top stories in Chattanooga today:
- An Ooltewah High School student was arrested on Thursday for making a school shooting threat in writing on a bathroom stall. While the investigation took place, the student openly admitted to making the threat but said he never intended to follow through with the plan. The school SRO took him to Juvenile Court where he will face criminal charges. (The Chattanoogan)
- The Blue Light nightclub owner, Brian Joyce, has opened up about the Beer Board's decision to revoke his license on his morning radio talk show. Joyce is claiming that he is being compared to Coyote Jacks, a former bar in Chattanooga that was the center of several shootings last year. The nightclub was recently accused of multiple violations, including staff members drinking on the premises and selling alcohol off-premises. (Channel 9)
- The City of Chattanooga is considering building a supervised homeless camp on 12th Street. (Chattanooga Times Free Press)
- A man has died after an early morning crash that happened Friday on I-75 in Chattanooga. (Chattanooga Times Free Press)
- A new mentorship, Chattanooga Community Foundation's lighthouse collective initiative, is shaping up in Chattanooga to help with public safety concerns. (WRCB-TV)
