Here are the top three stories in Chattanooga today:
- An exclusive screening of "Songbirds" is being hosted by the Songbirds Foundation. The screening will be for Chattanooga music and film fans on Sunday, May 29. - Chattanooga's blood and platelet supplies are at a critical level leading into Memorial Day weekend. The announcement was made by the Blood Assurance organization on Thursday. The Tennessee Valley regional blood center is reportedly on a one-day supply of O-negative, A-positive, and B-negative blood. - Unemployment across the state is at a historic low, according to the Tennessee Secretary of State. The unemployment rate is almost 80 percent lower than at its peak two years ago. According to the data, 3.2 percent of Tennessee residents are unemployed. (Chattanooga Times Free Press)
