Here are the top stories today in Chattanooga:

  1. A new building at Chattanooga State Community College has been approved by the State Building Commission. The new building will enable Chattanooga State to expand existing programs and introduce new ones. Construction will begin this spring. (WDEF News 12)
  2. The City of Chattanooga will seek community input on the upcoming Fiscal Year 2023 budget. The City will host three virtual meetings to gather investment ideas that will support the implementation of the "One Chattanooga" plan. A draft budget will be presented this Spring. (The Chattanoogan)
  3. Catalytic converter thefts are still happening in Chattanooga despite a new law and decreased value. The law places new reporting requirements onto scrap metal dealers and states that violators will be charged with a Class A misdemeanor. Chattanooga Police report 276 catalytic converters have been stolen since July. (WTVC)
