Here are the top three stories today in Chattanooga:
- Over the weekend, Sip Tennessee made a stop in Chattanooga spotlighting nearly one dozen Tennessee wineries. Though festivals were canceled years prior due to the pandemic, event organizers and vendors are happy to be back. Said one vendor, "We're just really excited that at least right now, we're able to come back do it all again."(WDEF)
- With the extreme need for recruitment and support of foster families in Chattanooga, interested parties are invited to a special conference hosted by Tennessee Kids Belong on May 15. There, prospective and active foster parents in Hamilton County will find info from local agencies, time to connect with like-minded people, and ways to learn to be more effective in helping vulnerable children. - Chattanooga native William Jones Odom (AKA Coogi Doogi) is always trying to give back and will sponsor his 9th annual Westside Easter Egg Hunt on Sunday, Apr. 17. For his work with the community, Coogi's been honored with a Distinguished Citizen Award by Hamilton County.
