Here are the top three stories in Chattanooga today:
- Glade Realty gathered donations of toys to give to the patients at the Erlanger Children's Hospital for Christmas. The company continues to accept donations at their office to donate to the children's hospital throughout the year when donations begin to slow down. Real estate agent Suni Nelson said, "This time of the year, they tend to get a lot of donations, but that drops off and the supplies are often dwindled by June or July." (Crossville Chronicle)
- Three nurses at CHI Memorial Hospital were recently awarded the DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses. The award is given by the DAISY Foundation to nurses who are nominated by patients, patient families, or coworkers for providing excellent patient care. The recipients were Donald Johnson, Janet Culpepper, and Kimberly Shank. (The Chattanoogan)
- The old stadium of the Chattanooga Lookouts is under consideration as one of three possible locations for a new federal courthouse. The current courthouse has been cited by officials as being insufficient for current standards and needs. (WTVC)
