The quickest way to get caught up on the most important things happening today in Chattanooga.
Good morning, Chattanooga! It's Friday, so let's get you started with everything you need to know going on today in town.
First, today's weather:
Partly sunny and cold. High: 37 Low: 21.
Here are the top three stories in Chattanooga today:
- LaPaz received food staples from the Chattanooga State family. There were about 820 donated food items collected, and 25 boxes of food were delivered to LaPaz. Anything that didn't fit into the boxes was donated to the Tiger Cupboard, Chattanooga's food pantry. (Chattanooga Pulse)
- The 2022 Lookout Wild Film Festival has been postponed to Feb. 4-6 due to recent Covid-19 cases. This will be the 10th annual celebration of outdoor adventure and conservation films. This year they will also be featuring two films that earned major awards at River Runner and The Alpinist. (Chattanooga Pulse)
- Chattanooga Community Kitchen is preparing to open overnight as temperatures drop. They are partnering with the Homeless Healthcare Center to provide rapid COVID tests, and they will be providing room for people to sleep in a warm environment away from the cold. (WRCB-TV)
