  1. A faulty air unit sent residents running out of the building on Tuesday because it let smoke waft through all nine levels of Silvertree Seniors, a high rise apartment building in Chattanooga. 92 seniors evacuated the building, and there are no reports of any major injuries. (WTVC)
  2. The Tennessee Aquarium is starting its virtual Fall fundraiser today in an effort to connect humanity with nature. The fundraiser will include an auction for pieces of artwork and an eco trip to Costa Rica. If you love penguins, there is also an auction for an opportunity to name the newest chick. (WRCB-TV)
  3. This week's heavy rains caused a closure of Ochs Highway Extension on Tuesday for emergency repairs. Also, the road at McLemore Cove is closed due to a landslide. (The Chattanoogan)
  4. The New Salem Mountain Festival has canceled its plans until 2022 due to the surge in COVID-19 cases. (Chattanooga Times Free Press)
