Here are the top three stories today in Chattanooga:

  1. A Chattanooga church held a march and prayer event in support of Ukraine Tuesday. Members from the Ukrainian Gospel church gathered in front of Walnut Street Bridge to raise awareness for those in Ukraine who are under invasion by Russia. One of the march organizers says their goal was to focus on prayer for all involved in the invasion. (WTVC)
  2. The Chattanooga Police Department is warning community members that Chattanooga is on pace for a record level of traffic fatalities. CPD said people drove faster due to less traffic during the COVID-19 pandemic. Now, people are still driving fast despite traffic increasing back to normal levels. The department says it has already seen seven fatal car accidents this year and speed has been a factor for each of them. (WDEF News 12)
  3. Changes are coming to The Chattanooga Metro Airport thanks to $3.8 million dedicated to helping Chattanooga and Hamilton County improve their infrastructure. A few possible projects for the airport include additional hangars for corporate flights and regular upkeep of runway pavements. A 60,000 square foot expansion is also set for the terminals.
