Here are the top three stories today in Chattanooga:
- Ten Chattanooga residents have been indicted in a meth trafficking case. The 10 suspects have been accused of distributing drugs containing fentanyl and meth since November. Click the link for the full list of names provided through a joint task force. (WDEF News 12)
- Tennessee American Water and the Hamilton County Coalition are hosting a Drug Take Back event on Apr. 30. Residents can drop off drugs from 10:00 a.m. through 2:00 p.m. The program is focused on removing illegal drugs from Chattanooga streets while properly disposing of the dangerous chemicals. Drop-offs will be anonymous. (WTVC)
- An agreement has been reached with Rise Partners to revitalize the Hixson industrial site. The location once employed over 5,000 workers in the Chattanooga area. The new project reportedly has the potential to create 600 new jobs for the region, according to a spokesperson for the city. (MyFox Chattanooga)
