  2. The Chattanooga Writer's Guild reports that Pamela Kiper has won the August 2022 Monthly Contest. Her submission titled "Satisfied" was chosen for this month's theme of "Rock City Gnome."   3. The Chattanooga Area Food Bank reports that the number of families seeking food assistance in the region has risen dramatically. According to the organization, the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic are fueling the increase. Currently, the Chattanooga Area Food Bank is assisting about 200 individuals and families each day.
