🌱 New License Plates For TN Drivers + Stolen Dog Rescued By THP

Here are the top three stories today in Chattanooga:
- Tennessee's Department of Revenue stated that newly designed license plates will be released to drivers after they complete their annual registration renewals. The latest design will replace the one from 2006. Plates can be renewed in person, online, by mail, or by kiosk. (WRCB-TV)
- Tennessee state troopers rescued a stolen dog in Chattanooga on Thursday. They received a call about a vehicle on I-24 that had the dog inside. Highway Patrol said the driver was under the influence when the vehicle was stopped. (WTVC)
- A Chattanooga megachurch was to be paid $3 million from a migrant shelter, court records show. However, the shelter was shut down after allegations of child abuse and they stopped paying rent. The church sued the Baptiste Group for three months of unpaid rent and possession of the property. (Free: Yahoo!, Subscription: Chattanooga Times Free Press)

- The TN Riverpark continues to be a major resource for Chattanoogans from outdoor recreation to economic development. But across the river, residents hope for some expansion on some of the county's most valuable property. (Twitter)
- The owner of Bitter Alibi, a local restaurant and bar, purchased the former Hummingbird Pastaria and the Big Frog Brewing Co. in Red Bank. He is planning to expand the brewery into a taproom with a new name and concept, and for the Pastaria he plans to turn it into a restaurant that focuses on dinner and weekend brunches. (Instagram)
