🌱 Pets And Owner Saved From Fire + Chattanooga Boat Show In Feb.

The quickest way to get caught up on the most important things happening today in Chattanooga.

Rise and shine, Chattanooga! Let's get you all caught up to start this Tuesday, January 25 off on an informed note. Here's everything worth knowing today in town.

First, today's weather:

Mostly cloudy. High: 51 Low: 26.

Here are the top three stories in Chattanooga today:

  1. A homeowner and multiple pets made it out safely from a burning home, although the property was completely destroyed. Nearly 60 Chattanooga firefighters were on the scene in the 1500 block of Chamberlain Avenue yesterday afternoon, when a home caught fire and spread to the newly-renovated house next door. Chattanooga Fire Department crews worked hard to fight both fires at the same time with both ground and aerial crews. The cause of the fire is under investigation. (WTVC)
  2. The all-new Chattanooga Boat Show will launch for four days of boating fun from Feb. 3 through the 6. The event will be held at the Chattanooga Convention Center, at 1 Carter St. in Chattanooga. Attendees will gain an all-access pass to the boating lifestyle and give them the chance to shop for boats and sporting accessories. (The Chattanoogan)
  3. Crissy Varnell from the Chattanooga Public Library talked to WTVC about the 4th Floor Makerspace, located in the Downtown/Main Library. The space offers hundreds of ways to be creative, both in the library and at home. Check out her interview in the link! (WTVC)

From our sponsor:

Last week, we told you about our new favorite non-alcoholic go-to — the refreshingly bitter drinks from our partners at Betera. They're chef-created from natural botanicals, lightly effervescent and worthy of life beyond "Dry January." We mentioned that their Ginger-Orange was excellent; we've since tried Elderflower-Lime and loved it as well — light and floral with the perfect amount of zing. We're converts.

Enough of you took Betera up on their 15% discount on first orders for Patch Daily readers that they've extended the offer for another week. Use PATCH15 at checkout. Highly recommended — try Betera here.
