🌱Police Confiscate $10K Of Crystal Meth + New Chattanooga Trail

First, today's weather:

Here are the top three stories today in Chattanooga:
- About 2.4 pounds of crystal methamphetamine were confiscated in Chattanooga. Drug agents with the Chattanooga County Sheriff's Office, Lookout Mtn. Drug Task Force and Summerville Police Department intercepted the crystal methamphetamine, which has a street value of over $10,000. They arrested 44-year-old Reginal Eric Dowdy of Cedar Bluff, Alabama. (WRCB-TV)
- The White Oak Connector trail in Chattanooga joins Red Bank to Stringers Ridge Park. It is set to be completed in the Spring by the Trust for Public Land. The project has been in motion since 2016, and they plan to host a group walk down the trail once it's completed. (Maryville Daily Times)
- Hamilton County Health Department will offer Pfizer COVID-19 booster shots for ages 12-15 starting Jan. 11. Before then, children can visit a local pharmacy or healthcare provider for their booster. It must be at least 5 months since they've received their second shot in the series to get the booster. - A Chattanooga firefighter was taken to the hospital from the scene of a fire on 4th Avenue. At 12:37 a.m. Sunday, multiple Blue Shift companies responded to a reported commercial fire at a former business in the 2600 block. It's been closed for a long time. (Twitter)
- Councilwoman Demetrus Coonrod is the newest member of the National League of Cities' 2022 Public Safety and Crime Prevention Federal Advocacy Committee. She is the only member of the 44-person committee representing Tennessee. (Twitter)
- Winters in the Southeast are relatively mild and snow is rarely seen. This makes Chattanooga an idea getaway even in the colder months! There are tons of winter activities to do in the area. (Instagram)
