Here are the top stories today in Chattanooga:

  1. A pedestrian was struck by a car in Collegedale School Zone early on Monday morning. The victim was treated by medical personnel on the scene, and there were no injuries reported from the people in the vehicle. (The Chattanoogan)
  2. A shooting happened on Sunday night in Chattanooga that left a local woman with serious injuries. Officials say the victim was a 22-year-old female who was in her car when an unknown suspect started shooting at her and hitting her. The victim was hurried to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. Chattanooga Police ask anyone with information regarding this incident to call 423-698-2525. (WTVC)
  3. Some Chattanooga firefighters helped to rescue a puppy that had its head stuck inside of a bottle. The puppy is safely out of the bottle and has been taken to a local adoption center to hopefully find its FURever home. (WRCB-TV)
  4. An upcoming candlelight vigil is calling Chattanooga residents to come and speak out against senseless gun violence. (foxchattanooga.com)
  5. The Blue Light Nightclub is closed for the next weekend following several violations. (Chattanooga Times Free Press)
